The latest names to be revealed for Europe’s most famous folk festival are one of the most influential songwriters of his generation and multiple Grammy Award winner, John Prine ♦ award winning Texan blues singer Ruthie Foster, who is consistently praised for her powerful live performances ♦ the eclectic Irish band Four Men & A Dog who have a earned a reputation for blending traditional music with other genres ♦ The Unwanted, Cathy Jordan of Dervish, harmonica wizard Rick Epping and multi-instrumentalist Seamie O'Dowd, playing Irish Americana songs which have travelled back and forward across the Atlantic. ♦ the US singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, from Vermont who Q described as “a true American original” ♦ Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara’s band JuJu which “channels trancey rhythms from traditional Africa, leftfield jazz and the wilder end of rock” ♦ Blues Award winner and Blues Hall of Fame inductee 2012, the last surviving star of the Southern Louisiana blues scene, Lazy Lester & Friends who had hits for Excello in 50s and 60s ♦ and Lera Lynn, a singer songwriter from Athens Georgia who specializes in southern folk and American music.
