On 1 April Cooking Vinyl present When I Was Your Girl, the first single taken from the minutes - a new album by world-renowned musical icon Alison Moyet, who has achieved sales of more than 20 million, both as a solo artist and as half of influential electro duo Yazoo.

When I Was Your Girl is a string-led riot of classic pop grandeur that marks one of the more orthodox moments from Alison’s machine-driven and experimental new album, co-written and produced by Guy Sigsworth.

the minutes is a return to Alison’s electronic roots and will be the focus of her 2013 tour, accompanied by programmed material from Yazoo and her solo back catalogue. Tickets go on sale Friday 8 March at 10am.
